Annual General Meeting

Agenda

 

1.                   To approve the minutes of the annual general meeting of the club held on 5th June 2008

 

2.                 To receive the Commodore's report on the past year

 

3.                 To receive the Treasurer’s report and the draft accounts for the year ended 31st March 2009

 

4.                 To consider and if appropriate to approve the following resolutions:

 

a) That the Club appoint Messrs Acacia Business Services (Managing Partner Susan M Hinson), of P O Box 24906, Karen, 00502 Nairobi,  to provide accounting services to include invoicing members, banking, recording of expenditure, payroll and statutory deductions, and preparation of quarterly and annual management accounts, at the currently proposed fee of shs 12,000/- per month which would be adjusted from time to time as approved by the Committee; or other provider of accounting services in the future as approved by the Committee.

 

b) That a category of membership be created for Veteran Members, which would be available, upon application and / or invitation and approval by the Committee,  to those who had been full members for not less than 20 years, were now infrequent users of the Club and whose children if any were now grown-up.

 

c) That subscriptions as from 1st July 2009  be set as follows:

d)  That Mr Tim Vaulkhard, Club member since 1973, Commodore and Sailing Secretary to the Club for many years, founder member and Vice-Commodore of the Kenya Yachting Association, Commodore and Secretary from time to time of both Fireball and 505 Associations, be made an Honorary Life Member.

 

 

  1. To elect the officers of the club and committee members for 2009/2010 in accordance with rules 15 and 16.

 

  1. To elect the honorary auditor for the year 2009/2010.

 

  1. To transact any other business of which due notice has been given or which the Commodore may permit.
